Herbert C. Canaday, Jr.

Passed away at his home at Union City, Tennessee on December 7, 2012. Mr. Canaday was born in Fairmont, West Virginia on March 2, 1943 the son of Herbert Sr. and Hannah A. ( Morrison ) Canaday. Herbert served with the United States Army and was also active in the Army Reserves where he attained the rank of Staff Sergent. For most of his working life, Herbert had been a truck driver. He enjoyed weight lifting and fishing in his spare time. He is survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Linda and Wally Schultz. Visitation will be held on Monday from 2 pm until 8 pm at the Schrader-Howell Funeral Home, 280 South Main Street, Plymouth where funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday 1pm with Reverend Drex Morton officiating. Interment will occur at 1 pm Wednesday at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, Michigan where military honors will be rendered.
