Passed away at Crystal Creek Assisted Living In Canton on Wednesday, October 1, 2014 at the age of 89, Henry was born in Brydstown, Tennessee on New Years Eve, 1924, the son of Kenneth and Minnie Lou ( nee Elders ) Coe. He attended schools in Brydstown and met his wife to be, Leatrice Huddleston, there. They married in 1946. From 1944 until 1946, Henry served with the United States Army Air Forces as an airplane and engine mechanic. In 1949 they moved to Wayne, Michigan where he put his skills as a mechanic to work, opening his own auto repair shop, Henry's Service Center, which he ran for over 50 years. Henry was a marksman in both rifles and especially pistols. He also enjoyed the out of doors with fishing and hunting. Henry had a life long love of cars and volunteered in his church, the Wayne Church of Christ. His wife preceded him in death in 2008 and he is survived by his children Valorie " Sue " ( Jack ) Rogin and Henry " Renny " ( Heather ) Coe. Henry also leaves behind his grandchildren, Jarett ( Sherri ) Rogin, Justin ( Melanie ) Rogin, Brad Coe and Tyler Coe and great grandchildren Luke, Lily, Lucy, Ty and Alana. His siblings Joyce Huddleston, Kay Dyer and Bill Coe also survive. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 1 pm until time of the funeral service at 3 pm at the Schrader-Howell Funeral Home, 280 South Main Street, Plymouth.
