Passed away at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Superior Township on Monday, August 17, 2015 at the age of 74. Helen was born in Cleveland, Ohio the daughter of Michael and Mary ( nee Kuzda ) Danko on February 27, 1941. She graduated from Holy Name High School in Cleveland and on September 12, 1964 married Vincent Corrado. Together they shared a marriage of 38 years, Vincent passing away in 2002. The family resided in Ohio until 1972 when they moved to Livonia where they have been residents ever since. Helen enjoyed traveling and with her husband and children visited Mexico, St. Kitts, Lake Tahoe and recently Quebec. Helen was an avid reader, loved playing cards, especially Solitaire and a devout Catholic. The family were members of St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church for over forty years. Helen faithfully attended Mass daily at the church or with the Sisters at St. Mary Mercy Hospital in Livonia where Helen was a volunteer in Post Op for the past ten years Yet Helen's greatest joy in life was her family. When her grandchildren were young she cared for them and as they grew she continued caring and enjoying them as they have grown. Helen is survived by her children, Michael, James and Cathleen Corrado. Also surviving are her grandchildren Alexandra, Nickolas and Joseph and sister Mary Delaney. A Memorial Gathering will be held at the Schrader-Howell Funeral Home, 280 South Main Street, Plymouth on Thursday from 3 pm until 9 pm. A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Michael the Archangel, 11444 Hubbard, Livonia on Friday at 10:30 am. Family will receive friends from 10 am until the time of the Mass. Contributions are suggested to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association.
