Harvey Raymond Jahn, Jr.

May 3, 1936 — February 5, 2011

Passed away at Blacksburg, Virginia on Saturday, February 5, 2011 at the age of 74. He was born in Detroit, the son of Harvey R. and Eleanor M. (Hulbert) Jahn on May 3, 1936. He was selected and graduated from West Point 1958 and served with the United States Army in Germany for three years. After completion of his military obligation he continued his education at the University of Michigan receiving his Masters then his Doctorate in Education in 1968. He taught at Adrian College, was a middle school principal in Traverse City and then taught from 1982 until his retirement in 2005 at Radford University in Radford, Virginia. In Virginia he volunteered his time with Hospice services. He is survived by his three sons, Mark, Todd and Zach Jahn. Two grandchildren Chelsea and Reece also survive. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 11:30 am until time of the funeral service at 1pm at the Schrader-Howell Funeral Home, 280 South Main Street, Plymouth.
