Harry Charles Ayers

August 3, 1943 — November 11, 2013

Passed away at his home on November 11, 2013 at the age of 70. Harry was born in Detroit the son of Edward B. and Margaret G. ( Bourne ) Ayers. He grew up on the family farm, the Hope Farm, which was located between Haines Park and Joy Road, and Eckles and Haggerty Road, an over 80 acre farm. He attended Flint Junior College and for over 50 years worked as an automobile mechanic, his last eighteen years as a Master Automobile Mechanic with Red Holman Toyota. In his spare moments Harry enjoyed gardening, and as his family stated, he truly had a " green thumb. " He also enjoyed flying model planes and biking. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, the former Kathleen L. Hall and their children Marilyn ( Philip ) VonGerichten and Jeffery ( Tammie ) Ayers. Also surviving are his grandchildren Matthew, Andrew, Nadia and Daniel. He was the beloved brother of William ( Madeline ), Russell ( Gloria ) Colleen ( Joseph ) Ford and Dr. James ( Vicki ) He also leaves behind his beloved companion, " Sam " and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Friday from 3 pm until 9 pm at the Schrader-Howell Funeral Home, 280 South Main Street, Plymouth. During this time a time of remembrance will be held.
