Harold E. Hansor

February 3, 1926 — March 4, 2016

Passed away at Independence Village in Plymouth on Friday, March 4, 2016 at the age of 90. Harold was born in Novi on February 3, 1926, the son of William E. and Vera M. ( nee Clark ) Hansor. He attended Novi-Northville schools graduating from Northville High School. Harold entered the United States Army Air Corp in 1944 and became an airplane armorer gunner seeing service in the European Theater of Operations. He was discharged in 1946 and upon his return to the States, met, on a blind date, June A. Bassett who would become his wife. They have been married for 68 years. Harold worked throughout the Metro region in building construction. He enjoyed outdoor activities including gardening, hunting, fishing and snowmobiling. Harold and June shared many hours of just driving down Michigan's varied country roads simply enjoying the beauty of our State.
He is survived by his wife and brother Robert. Harold also leaves an extended family of many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at the Schrader-Howell Funeral Home, 280 South Main Street, Plymouth on Wednesday from 11 am until the time of the funeral service at 12 noon. Later, he will be laid to rest at Oakland Hills Cemetery in Novi. Contributions are suggested to Angela Hospice.
