Gloria Perez, age 74 of Plymouth passed away on May 1, 2024.
She was born on December 5, 1949 in Detroit, MI to her parents the late Sophie (née Bozek) and Chester “Chuck” Kleczynski.
She was the beloved and devoted wife of 42 wonderful years to the late Hector Lorenzo Perez, loving mother of two children – Carla Perez and Andrea (Megan Mulvaney) Perez;
Gloria started her career in the stenography pool at Bendix Automotive after high school. She eventually worked her way up to the executive administrative assistant to many different departments and the CEO office at Bendix and Siemens Automotive, where she retired after 46 years of service.
She is deeply loved and will be greatly missed by her sisters-in-law Patti Kleczynski, Rose Anne Kleczynski, Georgina Perez Lorenzo, Alicia Perez Lorenzo, brother-in-law Jose (Marina) Perez and nephew Daniel Kleczynski.
She is pre-deceased by her parents and her dear brother, Richard (Rose Anne) Kleczynski, and nephew Stephen Klecynski. Gloria is also survived by many nieces and nephews, and step-grandchildren Sara and Daniel. Although many of her friends predeceased her, she remained especially close to neighbors Pat and Jim Conzelman, who gave so much help after the passing of her husband Hector.
Gloria was a person who never met a stranger. She loved people and her pets; latest her dog, Molly. She adored her classmates from St. Gemma and Ladywood Schools and loved to organize her school reunions and events. She was always happy to welcome newbies to her “Widowed Friends” group where she was able to do all her favorite things: socialize, bowling, attend dances, and casino trips. We were all very blessed to have shared Gloria’s life. She was an exceptional woman and will be missed by many good friends and extended family.
