Gloria Ann Gamble

February 25, 1922 — November 14, 2012

Gloria Anne Gamble (February 25, 1922 - November 14, 2012) Cherished mother of Thomas J. Gamble (wife, Cindy), Susan Gamble and Richard H. Gamble (wife, Diane). Precious grandmother of Ryan Thomas (wife, Victoria), Mara Rae and Megan Maureen. Dear sister of Lois Schuenske. Gloria was the accompanist for the choral program at Lola Valley/Hilbert Junior High for 40 years, a job she loved. She impacted many lives in her tenure and gave the gift of music to many students there, as well as to the piano students she taught later in life. Her love of music was shared with everyone she knew, and passed on to her family. She was an active member of Metropolitan Methodist Church for many years, where she made many close and life-long friendships. She could be seen every Sunday in the alto section of the church choir. She was also a member of the Metrolite Class and the Rice Circle. Her devotion to her family was the cornerstone of her life, and she provided for them well and passed on her belief in charity, kindness and compassion, as well as the importance of keeping a sense of humor. She will be missed by all those who have known and loved her, but her spirit will live on in the lives of the people she's touched. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 17, 2012 at 3:00pm from the Schrader-Howell Funeral Home 280 South Main St, Plymouth. Visitation will begin at 1:00pm until time of service. Burial will take place at Oakland Hills Cemetery in Novi. Memorials may be made to the Gelaner's Food Bank or to any local Salvation Army.
