Gerald "Jerry" Halleck
July 18, 1926 — April 15, 2020
Gerald “Jerry” Halleck, age 93 passed away on April 15, 2020 from a heart attack. Jerry was preceded by Rita, his wife of 70 years, and is survived by his five children – Sharon (Glenn) Yeager, Carolyn Bergie, GerriAnn (Mark) Vella, Richard (Mary Jo) Halleck, Janet (Pat) O’Daniel, 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Jerry was an Architect and head of the Construction Department for Kmart Corporation when he retired and moved to San Diego with his wife. He spent many happy years there.
Please be advised that in observance of the governmental order from the State of Michigan, we will be limiting funeral/visitation gatherings to 10 people at any one time. When in attendance, we kindly ask, for the safety and well-being of the families we serve and for your health, that everyone practice social distancing and consideration for other guests in attendance by keeping your visit brief.
A private committal service will take place at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery where Jerry will be laid to rest next to his beloved wife, Rita.
A Memorial Mass celebration will be held at a later date.
