Gerald Frederick Phillips

Gerald Frederick Phillips, age 80 of Grayling, Michigan and Pinehurst, North Carolina passed away on November 15, 2016. Gerald was born in Detroit, Michigan to his parents Ausey and Verl (nee Cloutier) Phillips. He is the beloved husband of the late JoAn who passed away in 2010. They were married for 52 years.

Gerald is the loving father of three children, Jacey (the late Jim Berecek), Jinae Schmittling, and Geffrey (Nancy) Phillips; proud Grandfather of Jared Berecek, Jeni Berecek, Garret Schmittling, Kia Schmittling, Kylee (Benjamin) Fisher, Samuel Phillips and Jacob Phillips; dearest brother of Richard Phillips, Betty Nash, Linda Schaible and Nora (Joanne) Phillips.

Gerald proudly served his country in the United States Army. He was also a life member of the Dearborn Heights Jaycees. Gerald dedicated his life to God, his family and his friends. He was an avid golfer holding memberships at the Grayling Country Club and Pinehurst Country Club in North Carolina. We will always remember his great sense of humor.

Friends may visit the Schrader-Howell Funeral Home, 280 South Main Street, Plymouth on Friday, November 18th from 3:00pm-9:00pm.

A funeral service is planned for Saturday, November 19th at the Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 9:30am until time of service at 10:30am.
