Georgianna B. “Mickey” Stringer. Age 95 Born February 11, 1920 and died July 2, 2015, Mickey will be dearly missed by her family and many friends. Mickey’s warm, enthusiastic smile demonstrated a zest for life in everything she did. She worked tirelessly as an insurance agent for several decades and her greatest joy was to build into her children and grandchildren’s lives. A talented seamstress, Mickey greatly blessed family and friends with many gifts made from her needlework and other creative talents. Of utmost importance to Mickey was her faith in Jesus. She often related how she was looking forward to her eternal home in heaven with Jesus because of His personal forgiveness in her life. She demonstrated her Christian love by serving at her church for many years, and by working at the ELWA Hospital in Monrovia, Liberia from 1967-1968. Another highlight in her life was the time she spent working with the Billy Graham Crusade at the Pontiac Silverdome in 1976. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Mabel McNae, her daughter Pam Stringer and her grandson Patrick “Ricky” Gettings. She is survived by her sisters Sara Alice Turbett and Leota Schramm, and her children Kathie Sigler, Karen McMeekin, Ken Stringer and Marcia Stringer. Her five grandchildren and three great grandchildren love their memories of “Nana”. Friends may visit the Schrader-Howell Funeral Home 280 South Main St, Plymouth on Monday, July 6th beginning at 9:30am until time of funeral service at 11:00am. Georgianna will be buried on next to her beloved daughter Pam on Tuesday, July 7th at Roseland Park Cemetery in Berkley with a private graveside service.
