Mr. George Zamboras, of Plymouth, Michigan, passed away peacefully on Sunday August 12, 2012 at the age of 99. Mr. Zamboras was born in Ambler Pennsylvania on July 3, 1913. After the untimely death of his father, his mother returned him and his siblings to Europe. He returned to the United States just before the outbreak of WWII. He spent his time during the war supervising, in Philadelphia, the building of the PBY aircraft for the war effort at the naval shipyard. After marrying his sweetheart Helen in 1940, and having their first two children, they moved and settled in Plymouth, Michigan in 1952. He lived his life for his family and enjoyed taking care of his beautiful property populated by various and abundant wildlife. The love of his life, Helen Zamboras, preceded him home after 56 years of marriage. Mr. Zamboras is survived by his children, Jana M. Zamboras of Livonia, Michigan, Michael G. Zamboras of Plymouth, Michigan, Robert L. Zamboras of The Woodlands, Texas, George P. Zamboras of Reston, Virginia. He is also survived by three grandchildren and his beloved pet - Lucky. The family held a private service on August 17, 2012. Arrangements entrusted to the Schrader-Howell Funeral Home, Plymouth.
