George S. Gorospe

George S. Gorospe, age 84 of Hazel Park passed away on November 18, 2021. He was born on September 29, 1937 in Detroit, Michigan to his parents, the late Faustino “Fred” and Helen (née Crist) Gorospe.

George is the beloved husband of the late Mary E. Gorospe. They were married for 52 years. Dearest father of Jacqueline (Robert) Pascarella, Suzanne (Robert) Marzano and George (Stacey) Gorospe. Loving grandfather of Joshua, Jacob and Jeremy Pascarella, Sydney Marzano, and Emily and Evan Gorospe. He is deeply loved and will be greatly missed by his siblings, Fred (Ruth) Gorospe, Tom (Jan) Gorospe, Arnold Gorospe, Cindy McCann, Tina Gorospe, Juanita (John) Reardon and Deni (Ron) Derderian.

Also survived by many loving friends and family members.

George was an avid golfer, gardner and bowler. He also enjoyed camping with his family.

Friends may visit the Schrader-Howell Funeral Home, 280 South Main Street, Plymouth on Sunday, November 21, 2022 from 2:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, November 22, 2021 at St. Justin – St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church, 50 E. Annabelle Avenue, Hazel Park, Michigan officiated by the Reverend Fr. Robert Williams.

George proudly served his country in the United States Army and was once stationed in Libya. He will be laid to rest with Military Honors at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, Michigan.
