George Hayward Davis

George H. Davis passsed away at his home on Saturday, October 6, 2012 at the age of 86. George was born in Chatham, Louisiana on January 17, 1926 the son of G. H. and Zola ( Warren ) Davis. He served in the Pacific Theater of Operations during World War II with the Navy serving aboard landing craft. He owned and operated the George H. Davis Company a pre-casted erection firm for over 30 years which was based in Livonia. His wife Norma passed away in 2010 and he is survived by his son Michael. George is also survived by four grandchildren and his sister Marjorie Stickell. George and Norma also lost two other children, Toni in 1984 and Robert in 1987. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 12 noon until 7pm at the Schrader-Howell Funeral Home, 280 South Main Street, Plymouth where funeral services will be conducted on Friday at 11am with Pastor Drex Morton officating. George will be laid to rest with his family at Riverside Cemetery in Plymouth.
