George Breck Jr. passed away at his home with his family beside him on Sunday, March 24, 2013, age 80. George was born in Elmira, New York the son of George Allen & Edith Viola ( Edwards ) Breck Sr. His early life was spent in Elmira where he graduated from high school and also spent two years at Elmira College. From 1951 until 1955 he served with the United States Air Force stationed in England. And while serving there he met his wife to be, Diane I. Emms. They were married in 1955 and together shared 58 years of married life. The family moved to Michigan in the mid 1960's where George was first employed with Burroughs. Later he obtained his relator's license and for years worked for Earl Keim Reality then with Coldwell Banker. George enjoyed many interests and hobbies including photography, wood working, sailing, skeet shoting, traveling and bird watching. In conjuction with his interest in birds he volunteered at Kennsington Park in their osprey project. During high school George obtained his eagle Scout badge. He is survived by his wife Diane and sons Christopher and Lane. A Memorial Gathering will be held at the Schrader-Howell Funeral Home, 280 South Main Street, Plymouth on Monday, April 1, 2013 from 11 am until 6:30 pm. A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday at 10 am at Trinity Evangelical Covenant Church, 34500 West Six Mile, Livonia. Memorials may be made to Angela Hospice.
