George A. Tsallis, age 85 of Plymouth, passed away on July 19, 2021. George arrived in the United States from Greece in 1956. He met the love of his life, Angie 57 years ago and created a beautiful family. His two daughters Fay (Jim) Themelis, Christine (Tim) Zylka, grandchildren Stephanie (Jordan) Burns, John Themelis, Joseph Zylka, David Zylka and his great-grandchildren Theo & Giselle Burns will miss his enthusiasm, great humor and sincere love. He is survived by his brother Pete (Alexandra) Tsallis and Christos (Marianna) Tsallis and many nieces and nephews.
George had a fulfilled life and enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening with friends and family. You could count on him for a perfectly ripe tomato and to know the score to the latest Detroit Lions or U of M Game. He was exceptionally proud of his family and looked forward to attending church on Sundays. He will truly be missed, from his smile to his singing.
George will lie in state at Saints Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church, 36375 Joy Rd., Westland, MI 48185, on Friday July 23rd, 2021 from 10:00A.M. until the time of his funeral Mass at 11:00A.M.
He will be laid to rest at Parkview Memorial Cemetery in Livonia following funeral services on Friday July 23rd, 2021.
