Kroll, Gary Joseph Sr.
Age 67, passed away on January 2nd, 2016 after a long battle with cancer. Survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Christine (Kubik). Cherished father of Laurie Trapp, Gary Jr. (Joanna), Mark (Jen), and Philip (Gina). Proud grandfather of Allison, Megan, and Sarah Trapp, Alex and Alyssa Kroll, Nick and Jack Kroll, Will, Matthew and Cera. Beloved brother of Darlene (Ron) Olesko. Treasured friend of Dave and Laverne Andreolli.
Gary was born on August 5, 1948 in Detroit, Michigan to the late Joseph and Eleanor Krol. Gary grew up in Redford and lived in the house that his father built. He graduated from Catholic Central in 1966. Gary and Chris were residents of Plymouth, Michigan for 48 years. He retired from Ford Motor Company Livonia Transmission after 39 years. Gary loved to play golf, travel, Detroit sports, Jimmy Buffet and most importantly his family. He looked forward to their yearly family trip to New Smyrna Beach, Florida.
A memorial gathering in his honor will be held on Monday, January 4th from 3-8 pm at Schrader-Howell Funeral Home 280 South Main St, Plymouth with a celebration of life service at 7:00pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Angela Hospice and St. Kenneth Catholic Church are appreciated.
