Frederick John Burger, born December 4, 1945 in Royal Oak, Michigan to the late John & Katherine Burger passed away on May 30, 2018 while on vacation in the Bahamas. Fred proudly served his country in the United Army. After serving in the military, Fred began his career with General Motors and over 30 years later retiring as a Project manager. Throughout his outstanding life, Fred had a love for his family, boating and downhill skiing. Many trips were planned to various ports in the Great Lakes, the North Channel and Georgian Bay in Ontario, Canada and Vail, Colorado.
On May 13, 1972, Fred would marry the love of his life, Elaine Schroeder, and on May 1, 2016, he would give her back to the Lord. Together they were blessed with two loving sons; John (Lisa) Burger and Jeffrey (Diana) Burger. Proud grandfather of Jacob & Alexandra. Dear brother of Betsy (Paul) Loock and Patti (Steve) Warnke. Also survived by his mother-in-law, Evelyn Schroeder.
Funeral mass with be celebrated on Thursday, June 21st at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church 47650 North Territorial Rd, Plymouth with visitation beginning at 9:30am until time of funeral mass at 10:00am.
Visitation Wednesday, June 20th from 3:00pm-9:00pm at the Schrader-Howell Funeral Home, 280 South Main St., Plymouth. Entombment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
In memory of Fred, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Association.
