Francis "Frank" Tylka passed away June 10, 2013 at the age of 84. He was born August 6, 1928 in Gates, Pennsylvania to Francis and Florence Tylka. Frank was preceeded in death by his wife Helen Rose. He is survived by his wife Johnie and his children Karen(Larry Siedell)Hawraney and Dianne Gravett, also step children Brenda(James)Dingman, Sandra(Larry)Groth, Lisa(Mark)Bear, Darla(Kevin)LaForge and Glenda(David Bentley)Halstead. Grandchildren Lindsay(Chris Williams)Hawraney and Rachel(Tony)Bowne and step grandchildren Victoria Wheeler, Stephanie(Louis)Carney, Chelsea Bear, Cassea Bear, Jessica Halstead, Jamie Halstead and Drake LaForge. He is also survived by 4 great grandchildren. He was also preceeded in death by 2 sisters, Delores Napier and Virginia Dernay. Frank retired from Ford Motor Company as a machinist after 36 years and 4 months of service. He was a 22 year resident of Plymouth and a member of Praise Baptist Church in Plymouth. He was also a member of the Moose Lodge in Dearborn Heights. He loved to boat and fish but said he never caught many fish because he loved to talk too much. Known as Big Daddy to some, he loved to tell jokes and make people laugh. Funeral services will take place Friday 10:30AM, June 14,2013, at Praise Baptist Church, 45000 N. Territorial Rd., Plymouth. Friends may visit Thursday 2-9PM at the Schrader-Howell Funeral Home, 280 S. Main St. Plymouth, and at church Friday beginning at 9:30AM. Memorials may be made to Praise Baptist Church.
