Frances Annabelle Prater

Frances Annabelle Prater of Detroit, and formerly of Nicholas County, West Virginia, passed away December 3, 2017 at the age of 85. She was born in Fayetteville, West Virginia on February 6, 1932 to Patrick and Edna (Moore) Mays. Frances is survived by her loving children Gary Prater and Sharon (Albert) Seghi, her beloved grandchildren Leah (Jonathan Lancaster) Halterman, Melissa Palardy, Joseph Prater, and Ryan Prater, her precious great grandchildren Alyssa, Miranda, Savannah, Cora, Cheyenne, Ricky, Nicholas, Riley and Camden, and her dear great great grandchildren, Reagan, and soon to be born Carder. She is also survived by two loving siblings Karen and Jerry. Frances was preceded in death by both of her parents and her siblings Norma Jean, Patti, Shelby and Bob.

Frances was a sweet woman who lived to serve others. In her free time, she loved to spend time gardening, sewing and eating Mexican food. She always put others first and will be greatly missed.

Visitation will be Wednesday, December 13, from 9-11am at the Schrader-Howell Funeral Home, 280 S. Main St., Plymouth, 48170. The Funeral Service will begin immediately following visitation at 11am.
