Evelyn Erdelyi

Passed away on April 27, 2014 at the age of 87. Evelyn grew up in Springfield IL. As a young girl she came to Michigan and Evelyn graduated from Plymouth High School. She married Bob Erdelyi in 1946 and lived on Rocker Ave. in Plymouth all of her adult life. She was a homemaker raising three daughters, Betty Ann Sloan, Sherada M. Collins and Patricia Erdelyi. Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband Bob in 2003 and is survived by her children, six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Evelyn was active in the community participating in 4H, Girl Scouts, and for many years as a Sunday school teacher with the Presbyterian Church. She was a long time member of the Plymouth Branch of the Women’s Farm and Garden Association (The Plymouth Garden Club). She also participated with Bob in the Plymouth Lion’s Club and The Veteran Motor Car Club of America. Evelyn will be remembered as a devoted mother, grandmother, and aunt and as a great cook. Visitation will be held at the Schrader-Howell funeral Home, 280 South Main, Plymouth on Thursday May 1st from 10 am until the time of the service at 1 pm in the Chapel at Schrader-Howell Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery in Plymouth. Memorials may be made to the Plymouth Branch of the Women’s Farm and Garden Association or the Plymouth Historical Museum.
