Eugenia Mech of Plymouth and formerly of Buffalo, New York, passed away August 5, 2016, at the age of 88. She was born August 29, 1927, in Buffalo to Adam and Bernice Natan. Eugenia was the beloved wife of the late Arthur Mech. She is survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Eugenia was an independent, strong willed, meticulous lady. She was a long time member of the Plymouth Historical Museum. Eugenia volunteered a lot of her time at St. Kenneth Catholic Church and was an active parishioner there. She also loved to garden. Above all of her hobbies, Eugenia was an avid collector of antiques.
Visitation will be Tuesday, August 9, from 4-8pm at the Schrader-Howell Funeral Home, 280 S. Main St., Plymouth, with a Rosary Service beginning at 7pm. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, August 10, at 10:30am at St. Kenneth Catholic Church, 14951 N. Haggerty, Plymouth. Family and friends may begin visiting at 10am. Eugenia will be entombed next to her husband at St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Buffalo, New York. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or Wigs for Kids.
