Malik, Emma M. passed away on September 13, 2019 at a nursing home in Plymouth. Emma was born in Wyandotte, Michigan on June 25, 1931 the daughter of Edward and Emma (nee Paschke) Sell. She attended St. John's school in Taylor. Growing up on a farm, instilled in Emma a love of gardening that endured her entire life. In fact, while selling produce from the farm at Eastern Market in Detroit, she met a fellow (Stanley Malik), who likewise enjoyed farming and in May of 1954 they married. For a short period they resided with Emma's parents but within a years time they built a home in Westland where they would remain the balance of their lives. Besides her love of gardening, Emma loved to bake and her family stated she was really good at it. When ever any of the family was over to her place upon leaving they always had some sweet treat to eat on their way home. Emma was a strong woman who believed in doing for others before herself. Six years ago, Emma lost her husband Stanley after 59 years of marriage. She is survived by her children, Robert ( Nancy ) Malik, Elizabeth ( Joseph ) Sammut, Timothy ( Kimberly ) Malik, Steven ( Wende ) Malik and John ( Angie ) Malik.. Her grandchildren, Matthew ( Kerri ) Malik, Mark ( Stacy) Malik, Christina ( Edward ) Hanlon, Kimberly ( Giovonni ) Doriety, Andrew Malik and Bryce Osceola, Six great grandchildren, Anna, Aiden, Sadie, Chase, Austin and Caroline also survive. Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 16th at 12:30 PM, at the Schrader-Howell Funeral Home, 280 South Main Street, Plymouth. Family and friends may visit the funeral home at noon. Visitation will continue at the funeral home until 8 pm. Later she and her husband will be interred at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, Michigan .
