Elvira Rose "Jo" Link

Elvira Rose "Jo" Link passed away on Wednesday, June 29, 2011, at Angela Hospice in Livonia. Jo was born in Dearborn, Michigan, the daughter of Joseph and Sebastiana (Longordo) Chide. She graduated from Fordson High School in Dearborn. Jo worked for Ford Motor Company in accounting, retiring in 1997 after 42 years service to the company. She belonged to many organizations including the Ford Motor Women's Club, the Livonia Town Club, the Red Hats Society and the Quarter Century Club with Ford Motor Company.

Jo loved to travel and was a member of the Nomads. Among her many trips were visits to Italy, Alaska, China, and Hawaii. Good food and good restaurants were a passion of hers. She was a fan of the Detroit Red Wings and the Detroit Tigers. Her dogs were her best friends and companions. Jo had two " Prince's," and her current companion, " Sky, " will miss her greatly.

Visitation will be held at the Schrader-Howell Funeral Home, 280 South Main Street, Plymouth, on Tuesday from 5pm until 9pm and on Wednesday from 12noon until 9pm. Visitation will continue on Thursday from 10am until time of the Funeral Mass at 10:30am at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church, 47650 North Territorial Road at Beck, Plymouth. She will be laid to rest with her mother at St. Hedwig Cemetery. Contributions are suggested to Angela Hospice, the Metro Area Animal Adoption Association, the American Lung Association, or the American Cancer Society.
