Vince was born on August 30, 1916 at Port Hope, Michigan in the " thumb " area of the state. His early years were spent in the Port Hope area where he met his wife, Neva whom he married in 1938. He worked as a millwright for the Ford Motor Car Company until his retirement in 1981. During World War II he served in the Pacific Theater during the Philippine's operations. After his retirement he and Neva moved to Englewood, Florida where they have resided ever since. Vince is survived by his wife Neva and children, Ellie, Judy, Diane, Vincent and Richard. Also surviving are 18 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren and a sister Joanne. A daughter, Bonnie predeceased him. A Memorial Gathering will be held on Saturday, April 28, 2012 from 2 pm until time of Memorial Service at 4 pm at the Schrader-Howell Funeral Home, 280 South Main Street, Plymouth.
