Elmo Cudini

January 26, 1928 — June 28, 2017

Elmo Cudini of South Lyon, and formerly of Lexington, MI passed away peacefully in his home with his family on June 28, 2017 at the age of 89. He was born in Detroit, MI on January 26, 1928 to Oreste and Mary (nee Guadanioli) Cudini. Elmo is survived by his beloved wife of 68 years Leonora (nee Miculan) Cudini, his two loving children Brenda (Pat) Pescatore, and Richard (Corrine) Cudini, his six precious grandchildren Derek (Kara), Angela (Rocky), Rebecca, Piero (Maria), Marc, and Paul (Jaime), his eleven dear great grandchildren Marco, Dominic, Isabella, Elio, Anson, Luca, Giada, Michael, Nicolas, Olivia, and Joseph, and his dear siblings Dorothy (the late Anthony) Campanella and Robert (Mary Ann) Cudini. Elmo was preceded in death by both of his parents, his brother Raymond Cudini and his granddaughter Amy Cudini.

Elmo was a true patriot. He had a very large collection of military and history books. Elmo began working as a cement mason with his father at the age of 12. He also was a long time parishioner at St. Dennis Catholic Church in Lexington. There he was an Usher, Eucharistic Minister, founder of the Knights of Columbus, and active volunteer for the Friday Fish Frys. In his free time, Elmo enjoyed to hunt and fish but nothing more than relaxing with a pizza and a beer. Elmo was loved by many and he will be greatly missed.

Visitation will be Sunday, July 2, from 2-8pm at the Schrader-Howell Funeral Home, 280 S. Main St., Plymouth, 48170. There will also be a Rosary Service beginning at 7pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, July 3, at 10:30am at St. James Catholic Church 46325 W. 10 Mile Rd, Novi, 48374. Family and friends may begin visiting the Church at 10am. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Disabled American Veterans.
