Elmer was born in Detroit, Michigan on July 24, 1933 to Elmer Francis and Irene (nee Rocheleau) Cote. He is the devoted husband of the late Nancy Cote. They were married for 51 years. He is the devoted father of Michele (Jim) Potter, and Jeff (Jenelle) Cote and proud grandfather of Gabriel Cote and Renee Freeman.
Elmer is deeply loved and will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
