Ellen Hiltz

Barbara Ellen Hiltz of Plymouth, died November 8, 2018. She was 88 years old. Ellen was born in Detroit on December 18, 1929 to Arthur and Sarah ( nee Baker ) Miller. Ellen is survived by her two beloved children Anne (Tim) O’Sullivan, Dan (Amy) Hiltz, her precious grandchildren Bradley, Sara, Olivia, Katie, and Sean, and her cherished great grandchildren Timmy and Athena. She was preceded in death by both of her loving parents.

Ellen was a huge Detroit Tigers fan and she enjoyed doing crossword puzzles daily. She also liked to travel, most recently visiting Ireland and Scotland. Ellen served the Catholic Church her entire life. She was a very active parishioner at Our Lady of Good Counsel. She sang in the choir, served as Eucharistic minister, and she volunteered with the Felician Sisters doing their nails and hair. More than anything, her life revolved around her love for her family, especially being a proud Nana of her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Visitation will be Monday from 3-8pm at the Schrader-Howell Funeral Home, 280 S. Main St., Plymouth, 48170. The Mass of the Resurrection will be Tuesday, at 10:30am at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church, 47650 N. Territorial Rd., Plymouth, 48170. Family and friends may visit the Church at 10am.
