Elizabeth Chaney

Elizabeth Chaney, age 84 of Plymouth, Michigan passed away on April 22, 2025. She was born on December 8, 1940 in Wyandotte, Michigan to her parents, the late Elizabeth (née Gibbons) and Thomas Vincent Santoro.

Elizabeth, “Betty,” was a beautiful soul who lit up every room that she ever stepped in and always left the room with a new set of friends. Her spirit lives on in all of her family.

Elizabeth was the beloved and devoted wife of the late Marion T. “Tom” Chaney, Jr; cherished mother of three children – Tom (Susan) Chaney, Eric (Carol) Chaney, Kathleen (Christopher) Jimenez and proud grandmother of Chris (Kayla) Chaney, Jordan Chaney, Robert Chaney, John “Jack” Chaney, Michelle Chaney, Ellie Jimenez, Zoe Jimenez and great-grandmother of Sawyer Hurst and Azalea Chaney. Elizabeth is deeply loved and will be greatly missed by her brothers, Tom (Carol) Santoro and Jim Santoro and her sister Pat Gillum. She is pre-deceased by her sister-in-law Linda Santoro and her brother-in-law Lonnie Gillum.

Friends may visit the Schrader-Howell Funeral Home, 280 South Main Street, Plymouth, Michigan on Tuesday, April 29, 2025 from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. A Family and Friends Sharing Time will begin at 7:00 P.M.

Visitation will resume at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church, 133 Orchard Drive, Northville, Michigan on Wednesday, April 30, 2025 at 10:30 A.M. until the time of the Funeral Mass at 11:00 A.M.

Elizabeth will be laid to rest with her husband "Tom" at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, Michigan.
