Elizabeth Anne Schornack

Passed away at St. Mary Mercy Hospital in Livonia on Tuesday, April 2, 2015 at the age of 43. Liz, as she was known to her family and friends, was born in Livonia, Michigan on September 11, 1971 the daughter of Carol ( nee Griffiths ) and the late George T. Kazen. She attended Plymouth-Canton schools where she graduated from Canton High School in 1990. For a short time she went to Oakland Community College. In her teenage years she delivered the Observer newspaper and then worked as a Friend of the Court. For the past eighteen years she has worked for Wayne County in various positions including in the Printing Department at the City County Building, the County Road Commission and finally with the Health Department. Liz loved to take photographs and work on scrapbooking. She was an avid animal lover having many wonderful dogs, including a Dalmatian " Sparky ", an Irish Setter " Sam " and a German Shepherd " Jake ". She also had numerous cats. Liz was great at finding just the right gifts for her family and friends. She loved the music of Bon Jovi and watching her favorite television programs, " Coronation Street ", " The Price is Right " and " General Hospital ". Lately she had begun an interest in gardening. But the most important aspect of her life was her family. She was devoted to her husband, children, mother and sister. As the family stated she had a " heart of gold". Liz is survived by her husband Robert and their children Hunter and Rose. Also surviving are her mother Carol and sister Claire ( Richard ) Jones. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, April 10, 2015 at 11 am at Good Hope Evangelical Lutheran Church, 28680 Cherry Hill Raod, Garden City, Michigan In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in memory of Elizabeth Schnornack at www.gofundme.com/qwfeqg
