Edward Paul Ostin, of Plymouth, Michigan died November 4, 2020 at the age of 82 after a hard-fought battle with cancer. Edward was married to the love of his life and best friend, Sharon Ostin for over 30 years. Edward and Sharon have five children - Catherine (John) Bishop, Kimberly (Bill) Shaffstall, Edward Ostin, Michael (Renee) Ostin and Matthew Nettie (deceased); six grandchildren, Alison, Kyle, Bradley, Ryan, Edward (EJ) and Cassandra and three great-grandchildren, Crosby, Vivian and Dakota. He is also survived by his dear brother, Eugene Ostin (Liz Wells) of Virginia and sister in-law, Lorene (Paul) Michalski of Florida. He was preceded in death by his mother, Emmeline and father, Edward Ostin.
Edward proudly served a 40-plus year career in public service with the Birmingham, Michigan Police Department and retiring in the year 2000 as Chief of the Department. Sharon and Ed loved spending time at their home on Torch Lake and their home in Peoria, Arizona. He was an avid outdoorsman who really enjoyed fishing and hunting. Edward had a great sense of humor, had an infectious laugh and was dearly loved by all who knew him.
