Edward A. Dely, lifelong resident of Plymouth, passed away on July 27, 2018 at the age of 92. Beloved husband of the late Violette. Loving father of Carole Vogel, Lawrence (Karen) Dely and Brian (Dawn) Dely. Proud grandfather of Terry (Jason) Cheng, Scott (Heather) Holcomb, Crystal Holcomb, Kristin (Jeremy) Coffman, Jason (April) Dely and Devin Dely. Great grandfather of Ahanna, Kameron, Ethan, Collin, Reese, Emma, Slater, Tyler, Brystal and Raelynn. Dear brother of Barb Warren, Irene (Bob) Phillips and Betty Liddle. Preceded in death by four sisters and three brothers.
Edward retired from Burroughs’s Corporation in Plymouth. He then went to work for, and retire from, the Plymouth/Canton Schools. He served as a custodian at Farrand Elementary. Edward was a proud Lifetime member of the Plymouth Elks Lodge. Bowling, watching the Detroit Tigers and especially the University of Michigan Football were just a few of his hobbies. His greatest loves in life were his family and the wonderful community called Plymouth, where he was born and raised.
A visitation will be held at the Schrader-Howell Funeral Home 280 South Main St, Plymouth on Friday, August 3rd from 2:00pm – 8:00pm and on Saturday, August 4th from 9:00 A.M. until the time of the funeral service at 11:00am at the funeral home. Funeral service to be officiated by Pastor E. Wayne Byrum.
