Dorothy E. Parmentier

Dorothy E. Parmentier, age 92 of Novi passed away on February 11, 2024.  She was born on June 9, 1931 to her parents, the Eva "Goldie" (nee Martin) and John McLaughlin.  Dorothy is the beloved and devoted wife of the late William "Bill" Parmentier.  She is deeply loved and will be greatly missed by her sister Evelyn McLaughlin.  

In 1960, Dorothy met Bill at Riverside Arena, the local roller skating rink in Livonia.  Bill's life was greatly influenced by his passion of the sport of dance and free-style roller skating.  Dorothy was an Artistic Dance Roller Skating Judge.  It was their common interest in roller skating that led them to marriage later that year 

The Funeral Service will be on Friday, February 23, 2024 beginning at 11:00 A.M. at First Presbyterian Church of Plymouth, 701 Church Street, Plymouth, Michigan.

Dorothy will be laid to rest alongside her beloved husband Bill at Novesta Township Cemetery in Novesta Township, Michigan.

In lieu of flowers, those who wish to honor the memory of  Dorothy Parmentier are invited to consider a contribution to First Presbyterian Church of Plymouth, 701 Church Street, Plymouth, Michigan 48170; Seedlings Braille Books for Children, 14151 Farmington Road, Livonia, Michigan 48151 and  Leader Dogs for the Blind, 1039 South Rochester Road, Rochester Hills, Michigan  48307.
