Dorothy L. Wallet

Dorothy L. Wallet, age 92 of Plymouth passed away on July 26, 2021. She was born on June 20, 1929 in Detroit, Michigan to her parents, Michael and Stella (nee Polcyznski) Kaminski. She is the beloved and devoted wife of the late Joseph Wallet; loving mother of Sheryl (Larry) Eichstadt, Kimberly Wallet, PhD and the late Gale Wach; proud grandmother of Brian Eichstadt. She is deeply loved and will be greatly missed by her son-in-law, Daniel (Kathy) Wach. Dorothy is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Dorothy came from a larger family. She had seven brothers and three sisters. She attended St. Andrew High School in Detroit. She married Joe, residing first in Detroit, then Redford and eventually moved to Plymouth. There she was a member of Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church for more than forty years. She and Joe shared a marriage of 64 years.

Foremost in Dorothy’s life was her family and home. She loved being a homemaker, taking care of her family and being there for them. She cared for her husband and children with love and respect. She took the role of being a wife, mother, grandmother and nurturer wholeheartedly and caring for her family was the top priority. She also enjoyed gardening. Dorothy nurtured her garden like she nurtured her family. She relished baking and sharing the goods with friends and family. Dorothy was a very caring person, showing concern for others and doing kind things for them. She was understanding, generous and considerate of everyone. Dorothy will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her and will leave many wonderful and cherished memories that will never be forgotten.

Friends may visit the Schrader-Howell Funeral Home, 280 South Main Street, Plymouth on Friday, July 30, 2021 from 2:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. There will be a Scripture Service at 6:00 P.M. A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, July 31, 2021 at 10:00 A.M. Dorothy will be in-state at the Church at 9:30 A.M. until the time of the Funeral Mass.

She will be laid to rest at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Wyandotte, Michigan.
