Dorothy Jean Sloan, age 85, of La Verne, California, passed away on November 1, 2011, at the Sunrise Brighton Garden in Plymouth. Loving wife of the late Russell. Beloved mother of Mark (Sue) Sloan, Marilyn (Nick) Patapoff and Marjorie (Richard) Gray. Proud grandmother of six. Dear sister of Bill (Betty) Meacham and James "Bud" Harpel.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 12, 2011, at the Church of the Open Door in Glendora, California. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 20300 Civic Center Drive-Suite 100, Southfield, Michigan 48076. Interment at Rosehills Cemetery in Whittier, California. Arrangements entrusted to the Schrader-Howell Funeral Home, Plymouth.
