Donna J. Trapp

September 28, 1937 — February 29, 2016

On this special day of February 29, 2016, angels took Donna Jean Trapp up to heaven to join her beloved husband, Walter Gordon Trapp. Donna was born on September 28, 1937 in South Lyon, Michigan to Arthur Lewis and Helene (Constable) Carter. She married her true love Walter, on January 18, 1964. God blessed them with a loving family of two children; Eric (Carrie) Trapp of Northville and Philip (Stephanie) Trapp of Grand Ledge; six grandchildren: Allison Trapp, Megan Trapp, Sarah Trapp, Ben Trapp, Austin Lee, and Isabel Lee; brother, Karl (Diane) Carter; sister, Carol (Richard) Scruggs; many nieces, nephews, and other extended family. Donna devoted her life to her family and her faith. She attended St. Peters Evangelical Lutheran Church where she praised the Lord by singing in the choir and playing the hand bells and worked as the church secretary for over 20 years. Prior to her time with the church, she worked for the Michigan Municipal League. Donna was an avid Detroit Tigers fan and it is fitting that she was able to watch from heaven with her husband the first spring training game of 2016. Viewing at Schrader-Howell Funeral Home, 280 S. Main St., Plymouth, 48170 on Friday, March 4, from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. Funeral Services will be at St. Peters Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1343 Penniman Avenue, Plymouth on Saturday, March 5, at 10:00 AM. She will be in state at 9:30am until the time of the funeral service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Wellspring Lutheran Services, 4100 Pier N Blvd., Suite A, Flint, MI 48504 or St. Peters Evangelical Lutheran Church and School, 1343 Penniman Avenue, Plymouth, MI 48170.
