Donna Gach

Donna Gach, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on November 15th, 2024 at the age of 67. Donna’s life was a testament to love and courage, and her legacy will continue to shine through the lives of those who knew and cherished her.

Born on February 7th, 1957, Donna devoted herself to a life of hard work, spending many years as a compliance officer for a medical group. Her diligence, integrity, and commitment to excellence earned her the respect and admiration of her colleagues.

Donna’s personal life was enriched by the love she shared with her wife, Daun, with whom she built a beautiful life filled with love, laughter, support, and shared adventures. She was also a devoted mother to her son, Greg Gach, and a loving grandmother to her cherished grandchildren, Mabel and Noel. Donna took great pride in watching her family grow, finding immense joy in the milestones and everyday moments they shared together. 

Known affectionately as “GiGi” by her grandchildren, Donna was a caring presence who delighted in baking cookies, sharing stories, and creating special memories with her loved ones. She was a spirited sports enthusiast who enjoyed watching games, golfing, and bowling, and she relished the camaraderie and fun these activities brought to her life.

Beyond her family, Donna was a dedicated friend to many, always ready with a listening ear, wise advice, or a generous laugh. She was delighted by a good time with good people.  

Donna leaves behind her wife, Daun; her son, Greg Gach, and his wife, Sarah Prater-Manor; her grandchildren, Mabel and Noel; and a community of friends and colleagues who will forever treasure her memory. 

A memorial gathering to celebrate Donna’s life will be held on November 23rd, 2024 from 10am to 11:30am at Schrader-Howell Funeral Home located at 280 S. Main St., Plymouth, Michigan with a Celebration of Life starting at 11:30am. 

Donna's legacy will live on through the love she fostered in her family and the countless lives she touched throughout her career and personal life. She will be remembered fondly by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
