Donna D. Belcher

Donna D. Belcher passed away on May 20, 2018 at the age of 70. Donna was born in Detroit on March 12, 1948, the daughter of the late Richard and Lillian (nee Werner) Pybus. Donna is the beloved and devoted wife of Albert “Butch” Belcher for 48 years; loving mother of Jennifer Wendel, Kimberlee Belcher and Brian (Nicole) Belcher; proud “Nana” of Meghan Wendel, Mallory Wendel, Madelyn Wendel, Lexia Hill and Lillian Belcher, and great-grandmother of Cade Howard. She is also the cherished sister of the late Richard Pybus, Jr., and is the Sister-in-Law and Aunt to many brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews.

After her retirement of 20+ years as a church secretary and 20+ years in property management, her focus was turned to her family and especially her grandchildren. Donna loved being “Nana” to all of her grandchildren and quickly became known to everyone as only “Nana”. She enjoyed doing arts and crafts and made sure that there was no craft show, or in the words of her grandkids “crap show”, left unseen. She also took on a love for cooking and happily sought out new recipes to share with her family and friends. As a gardener, she took great pride in all the many flowers that she planted and would gladly share them with anyone who would ask. She truly believed that gardening was like food for the soul and made the world a beautiful place. She was a mom to her children and “Nana” to her grandchildren. Donna carefully placed and nurtured her plants and, just like a mother and grandmother who nurtures her children and grandchildren as they grew and matured, she felt that same satisfaction watching her plants grow and mature in her garden.

Friends may visit the Schrader-Howell Funeral Home, 280 South Main Street, Plymouth on Wednesday, May 23rd from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and Thursday, May 24th from 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM.

A funeral service will be held at the Funeral Home on Friday, May 25th at 11:00 AM to be officiated by Pastor Drex Morton.
