Donald P. Kummer

Donald Kummer passed away on July 11, 2018 at the age of 84. Beloved husband of Barbara Kummer for 62 years. Loving father of Lynn (Tim), Larry (Kelley), and John (Deb). Grandfather to Augusta, Madison, Max, and Nico. Brother to Helen.

Don loved our country and was proud to have served as a peacetime soldier at Ft Meade. Don worked at Ford Motor Company for his entire career and was a “Ford Man” until the end.
His greatest love was his wife and family. He dedicated himself to their safety and wellbeing. Don had many longtime friends whom he cherished. But Don also had hundreds of friends that he held dear including, neighbors, shopkeepers, waiters, barbers, and coffee shop baristas from both Plymouth, Michigan and Venice, Florida. He was always ready with a story or a quick joke. He will be missed by many.

Friends may visit the Schrader-Howell Funeral Home, 280 South Main Street, Plymouth on Saturday, July 14th from 12:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. The funeral service will also be held at Schrader-Howell on Saturday at 2:00PM. Friends may continue to visit after the service until 4:00 P.M.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in memory of Donald P. Kummer to Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church, 47650 North Territorial Road, Plymouth, MI 48170.
