Donald Bruce Elliott

Donald Elliott passed away at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Superior Township with his family beside him on Thursday, July 12, 2012, age 70. Donald was born in Detroit on March 9, 1942 the son of Jack B. and Ruth M ( LeSeure) Elliott. His early years were spent in Westland where he attended the Nankin Mills School. Don established an automobile parts distribution firm, Donald Elliott & Associates which he spent the last thirty years expanding. The family has resided in the Plymouth - Canton community the last 35 years where he has been active in his church, Northville Christian Assembly. Don also enjoyed golf, his fellowship with his church and most importantly the joys of his family. In 1959 he married Myra Jean and together they shared the happiness of five children. Myra survives Don along with four of his children, Brian & Lisa Elliott, Kevin & Barb Elliott, Kellie & Grant Williams and Donald Jr. & Lori Elliott. In 1986 they lost their daughter Dawn. Also surviving are 15 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Visitation will be held at the Schrader-Howell Funeral Home, 280 South Main Street, Plymouth on Monday from 12 noon until 9 pm. Visitation will continue at Don's church, Northville Christian Assembly, 41355 Six Mile Road, Northville on Tuesday from 10am until time of the funeral service at 11am.
