She was known to her classmates as a very lively, and high spirted student and naturally fun to be around. She sparkled among her friendships and was full of life. She loved a good time and could easily make everyone enjoy themselves.

Her first job in Plymouth was at the Cloverdale restaurant and dairy on Forest Street. There she made lifelong friends with the Dudley’s. Dolores owned two antique shops in Plymouth, and was a well-known antique dealer in the Detroit area. Dolores and Torb were the owners of C. D. Sparling, a manufacture of handicap equipment in Plymouth.

She enjoyed taking the family on many vacations, including Mexico, Florida and Toronto. Once a year Dolores and Torb would host their annual Fourth of July party, this was a great time for old High School buddies and local friends. She also enjoyed her volunteer time as a Docent at the Plymouth Historical Museum, and was a generous supporter of the Michigan Philharmonic and the Plymouth Community Band. She was a member of the St. John’s Episcopal Church in Plymouth.

Dolores is deeply loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
