Diane M. Wavrek

Diane M. Wavrek, age 76 of Novi passed away on June 17, 2024. Diane was born in Northville, Michigan to her late parents, Ethel (née Ash) and Douglas Eckles.

She was a loving sister to Susan (Robert) Larkins, LuAnn Eckles and the late Janis (William) Krug. She is deeply loved and will be greatly missed by her nieces and nephews, Christi (Ray) Palmerton, Douglas (Kimberly) Krug, Jennifer (Garret) Pickard, Michael (Ashley) Krug, Michelle Larkins and great-niece and nephews, Madelynn Krug, Easton Pickard, Wylder Lynch, Alexander Krug and Miles Krug.

Diane was employed by Schoolcraft College in their Accounting Department as the Director of Payroll. There she enjoyed a very successful career of over 40 years.

She was also an avid golfer. For Diane, there was nothing like spending a couple of hours, or even an afternoon, on the golf course. It was a great way to spend time outdoors connected to nature and enjoying a game of golf with friends.

Diane also had a great interest in genealogy. She knew the importance of family – not just the family members she grew up with, but also the extended family of great aunts, third and fourth cousins and great-great-great-grandparents. She enjoyed tracing family roots through the generations and loved learning about her family’s past - where they came from, who they were, what they did, their accomplishments and their dreams. 

Friends may visit the Schrader-Howell Funeral Home, 280 South Main Street, Plymouth, Michigan on Thursday, June 27, 2024 from 9:00 A.M. until the time of the Funeral Service beginning at 11:00 A.M.

Diane will be laid to rest at Riverside Cemetery in Plymouth, Michigan.
