Diane D. Jones

Passed away at Providence Park Hospital in Novi on October 17, 2013 at the age of 70. Diane was born on April 5, 1943 the daughter of Lawrence and Geraldine ( McMahon ) Beecher. She received both her B.A. and Masters in Education from Western Michigan University and did student counseling both in the Pinckney and Howell Public Schools. Besides her school position she owned a tanning salon in Brighton and also the Northville Cider Mill which she had recently sold. Diane enjoyed many sporting activities including golf, tennis, skiing and fishing and she loved to travel, some of her favorite spots included Hawaii, San Diego and Yellowstone National Park. In June of 1978 she married Mel C. Jones who survives her. Diane also leaves behind her children Sherry Lynn, Michael and Steven and grandchildren Jake, Luke, Caden " George ", Jessica and Melinda. A Memorial Gathering will be held on Monday, October 21, 2013 from 3 pm until 8 pm at the Schrader-Howell Funeral Home, 280 South Main Street, Plymouth where a Memorial Service will be conducted by Pastor Drex Morton on Tuesday at 11 am
