Derek Lee Parsons

Derek Lee Parsons, age 30, of Redford, passed away on March 28, 2018. He was born July 29, 1987, to his loving parents, Ron & Kim Parsons. Beloved brother of Jessica (fiancé David Graye) Parsons. Proud nephew of Roger (Sue) Parsons, Randy Parsons, Gary (Michelle) Mayhew and Brian (fiancée Cheri White) Mayhew. Also survived by his cousins, Lisa Parsons, Paul Parsons, Kari (Pat) O’Brien, Patricia Parsons, Gary Mayhew, Kyle Mayhew, Makayla Mayhew and Brian Mayhew, Jr.

Derek graduated in 2005, from Thurston High School in Redford, where he was a member of the cross country team. Derek was fearless when it came to heights, so being a roofer was something he truly loved. Derek has always lived his life never giving less than 100%.

A funeral service will be at Schrader-Howell Funeral Home, 280 South Main Street, Plymouth, on Thursday, April 5, 2018, at 11:00am. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 3rd, from 2:00pm -9:00pm and Wednesday, April 4th from 2:00-9:00pm.
