Denise Randall

Denise Randall, born on October 16, 1951, in Detroit, Michigan, passed away peacefully in Plymouth on January 25, 2025. Denise was a light in this world—strong, brave, loving, playful, unforgettable, and deeply a committed to her family.

Denise is survived by her sons: William (Tracey) Randall, Scott (Christine) Randall, and Robert Randall; her daughters: Kristin Lobron, Jennifer (Bryan) Ollar, and Julie (Shane) Breslawski; and her beloved grandchildren: Diana, Billy, John, Helen, Kayley, Logan, Austin, Evelyn, and Jordyn. She also leaves behind her sisters, Leslie June (Dean Whitaker) and Andrea (Robert Hunckler) June, and her brothers, Robert (Catharine) June and Peter (Kathy) June, along with numerous in-laws, nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews, cousins and close friends who will miss her dearly. Preceding her in death were her deeply devoted husband of 44 years, Bill Randall, and her parents, Peter and Jean June.

Born with a magnetic personality that drew people to her, Denise had an extraordinary ability to make everyone feel seen and valued. By the age of 32, she was a proud mother of six, dedicating her life to her children with unwavering love, tireless energy, and selfless determination. Denise was the ultimate cheerleader, volunteering at school events, juggling after-school activities, helping with homework, and ensuring dinner was always on the table, all while filling her home with laughter, games, and unwavering support. A passionate sports fan, Denise shared her love of the Detroit Tigers with her family, creating cherished memories at spring training games and opening days. She often told the story of hopping on the bus with her sister Leslie to watch the games from the bleachers in Tiger’s stadium.

Denise was creative and a quick-witted thinker who loved playing games, doing word puzzles, baking, sewing, crafting, and writing fun letters. As a child and adult, she was known to her siblings as the fun person everyone wanted to be around. She doted on her younger siblings, anchored herself to her older sister, and brought crowds of friends to fill her childhood house. Jenny, Sue and Denise met in middle school and became lifelong friends sharing countless memories. She loved being active in Rainbow Girls and was selected on the state level to be the Grand Faith - a huge honor. Her true gift was working with children, and she went back to school to graduate with honors from University of Michigan with a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Education. This made her a passionate UM fan, and her competitiveness really came out on game day! Over the years she provided care for nieces, nephews, and friends’ children, and worked at a preschool. And if you were under Denise’s care, you were loved and treated as if you were her own.

Bill was truly her soulmate and they lived their life together fully. They loved the home they made, and were constantly inviting friends and family over to crowd around tables for game nights, BBQs, and holidays. Their quick wits, competitiveness, joy, and deep sense of home and togetherness made all their challenges seem easily managed.

Denise was unique and loved deeply. Her life was turned upside down by multiple sclerosis, and she hated how much it restricted her independence and ability to engage with her loved ones. Even after her MS diagnosis, she remained a beacon of strength and resilience, facing every challenge with a smile and teaching her children and grandchildren the true meaning of perseverance.
