Delores Mae Norton

Delores Mae Norton, loving mother and cherished grandmother, passed away at the age of 77 years on January 3, 2025. She was born on March 14, 1947 in Detroit to her parents Donald and Hilda (Edwards) Niven. 

 A resident of the Plymouth, Michigan, community, Delores Mae touched the lives of many through her dedication to early childhood education at Little Tots where she nurtured young minds. Beyond her professional contributions, Delores Mae found immense joy in her role as a grandmother, enjoying the moments spent with her granddaughter Ariana Simon. She also enjoyed the companionship of her cat, Cassie.

 Delores Mae is survived by her loving daughter, Heather (Shane) McNaughton, and her siblings, Alice (Dennis) Ebel and Stephen (Carol) Young. She also leaves behind several nephews: Dennis M. (Suzie) Ebel, Scott Ebel, Andrew Young, and Jesse (Donna) Sewell. Her family will forever hold her in their hearts, remembering the warmth of her smile and the lessons she instilled in all.

 In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas, who died in 1978 and whom she missed dearly.

 Visitation for Delores Mae will be held on Wednesday, January 8, 2025, from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at Schrader-Howell Funeral Home, located at 280 S. Main Street, Plymouth. Following a 1:00 PM service at the funeral home, she will be buried at United Memorial Gardens, Plymouth, 

 Delores Mae Norton will be remembered not only for her professional achievements but also for the love and kindness she extended to her family and community. Her legacy will continue through the lives she touched and the family she cherished.
