Kruszka, David L. Passed away suddenly at home, Friday, May 09, 2014; age 55 years. He is survived by his loving wife Karen; beloved daughter and son, Nicole and Michael; parents Bernard (Bud) and Marianne Kruszka, brother Bud and Kim Kruszka; sister Susan Marino; sister Kathy and Ken Bundy; mother-in-law, Louise Vuono, father-in-law and his wife, John and Linda Vuono, and many nieces and nephews. David was born in Saginaw on February 18, 1959, He was raised in Saginaw, graduated from Eisenhower High School in 1977, and later from Michigan Technological University in 1981 with a Bachelor of Science in Engineering. Dave worked as an employee of U.S. Steel for over 30 years, and met his wife of 19 years, Karen, there as well. David was a man of incredible character, great inner strength, and wonderful humor. Quiet and reserved until he got to know you, then obviously intelligent and funny; he had a finely tuned moral compass that was evident to those that had the privilege of knowing him. He was a thinker and confident in his beliefs. Dave was devoted to his faith and to his family; and loved watching his son play baseball, and his daughter dance. He loved to watch sports, enjoy the outdoors and fish. Dave was deeply loved by family and friends and will be greatly missed. The Kruszka and Vuono families will receive family and friends at Schrader-Howell Funeral Home of Plymouth, MI 280 South Main St. on Monday, May 12, 2014 from 1:00 p.m. to 9 p.m with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, May 13, 2014 at 1:30 pm at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church, 47650 North Territorial, Plymouth, MI. Visitation in-state at OLGC parish beginning at 1:00 p.m. Dinner following funeral at Fox Hills Country Club (the Cabin).
