David Gasaway, age 58 of Plymouth passed away on September 12, 2021.
David was born on March 17, 1963 in Livonia, Michigan to his parents, Robert and Joanne (née Gunderson) Gasaway. He is the beloved husband of Stacey (née Konwerski) Gasaway and devoted father of Piper Gasaway. He is also deeply loved and will be greatly missed by his many nieces and nephews.
David and Stacey were married on September 22, 1991 in the Gazebo in the Historic Old Village of Plymouth and were blessed with almost 30 years of marriage.
David had a great interest in the ancient Japanese Martial Art of Karate. He was awarded a Black Belt and was highly proficient in the basic techniques and principles of karate. He loved watching and attending the local karate competitions and tournaments.
Along with his love of karate, David also had a great love of music and especially loved the drums. Karate and drums have much in common. Both are stress relievers. Karate and playing the drums are both great physical workouts and both made David simply feel good.
Friends may visit the Schrader-Howell Funeral Home, 280 South Main Street, Plymouth on Friday, September 17, 2021 from 10:00 A.M. until the beginning of the Funeral Service at 11:00 A.M. After the Funeral Service, visitation will resume until 1:00 P.M.
A private graveside service will be held for David who will be laid to rest at Riverside Cemetery in Plymouth.
