Darlyne Marie Cutshaw passed away at her home on Monday, October 13, 2014 at the age of 84. Darlyne was born in Detroit on June 5, 1930, the daughter of Joseph and Violet ( nee O'Connor ) Berger. She attended Detroit Public Schools finishing her education at Cass Technical High School. On June 26, 1948 she married Herman Cutshaw and together they shared a 62 year marriage, Herman passed away in 2010. The family resided in Detroit, Royal Oak and since 1964 the Plymouth area has been home. For a few years Darlyne worked in the Farmer Jack store in Plymouth. She also enjoyed cooking and traveling with her husband. Among the many locals they journeyed to, Hawaii, Arizona and Florida were special. Along with her husband, who was an Army veteran from World War II, she enjoyed the fellowship the American Legion provided. She was a devoted animal lover, bringing strays home to a menagerie of other pets. Daelyne's greatest joy in life was taking care of her husband and her family. Darlyne is survived by her children Cathy ( Jim ) Pigeon, Mike Cutshaw and Linda Mann and grandchildren Tina ( Mike ) Hensley, Lisa ( Steve ) Foster, Eric ( Jennifer ) Williams, John ( Paula ) Williams, Jamal Hamka, Michael Cutshaw and Amy ( Charlie Newell ) Mann. Fourteen great grandchildren, Joey, Alysha, Collin, Paige, Shane, Brittany, Brandon, Brenna, Bryan, Bradley, Brayden, Brendon, Brook and Reagan also survive. A brother, Joseph Kelly Jr. preceded her in death. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 4 pm until the time of the funeral service at 7 pm at the Schrader-Howell Funeral Home, 280 South Main Street, Plymouth. On Friday at 11:30 am she will be laid to rest with her husband at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, Michigan.
