Daniel Patrick Peper

Daniel Patrick Peper passed away suddenly on Thursday, October 3, 2013 at the age of 57. Dan was born in Detroit on June 11, 1956 the son of Edward J. and Patricia A. ( Targett ) Peper. He graduated from Plymouth-Salem High School and received his B.A. degree from the University of Michigan. For over 30 years he worked for General Motors at Cadillac Assembly retiring in 2008. He was a devout Catholic, member of Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Grotto in Detroit and had been active in Right to Life of Michigan and also the Knights of Columbus. He was a avid cyclist and a fan of his alma mater Michigan and of the Tigers. His greatest pleasure in life was being with his family, specially with his fourteen nieces and nephews. In 1986 he was involved in a serious automobile accident from which many thought he would not survive, but thankfully he did. He is survived by his family which include his brothers, Joe ( Grace ), John, Ed ( Pam ) and Bill ( Sharon ) and his nieces and nephews, Kelly, Anne, Joey, Sarah, Eddie, Claire, William, Grace, Sam, Mary, John, Nick, Emma and Hunter. He was preceded in death by his parents. Visitation will be held at the Schrader-Howell Funeral Home on Monday, October 7th from 4 pm until 9 pm and on Tuesday from 12 noon until 9 pm. A Rosary will be said on Tuesday at 7 pm. A Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday, 10 am at Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Grotto, 13770 Gratiot Street, Detroit, MI 48205. Burial will follow at Holy Sepulchre in Southfield. The family wishes contributions be made to Assumption Grotto for special Masses in Daniel's name.
